Part 1: FREE Sustainable Business Tours – Friday 28th October
Two highly sustainable businesses, Bendigo Bank and Stay Social, are open for inspection on Friday 28th October.
Bendigo Bank
A unique opportunity to have a look at the Bendigo bank where mother in law tongues line the work places and every employee has a fresh air vent.

Stay Social
Stay Social provides home-style short and long-term Bendigo accommodation for travellers and business people alike. Built using uniquely recycled materials and many other sustainable features.

Part 2: Sustainable House Day – Sunday 30th October
Houses Open for Inspection
Eight houses are open for inspection including architect builds, retrofitted and north facing extensions onto older dwellings. Visit houses to meet an architect, solar offgrid expert and passive solar builder. These house owners have all found ways to live more sustainably, come along and learn from them.
Houses open from 11am to 4pm
Sustainable Talks
Three talks include how to build smaller and how to retrofit your home and save money.

Camilla from ecokit will tell you of her journey to establish an offgrid eco kit house.

Sally will talk about small change and design and our ability to build more densely and smaller.

Lyn will talk about all the different ways you can retrofit your house to make it more sustainable.
