Stay Social is Bendigo’s latest accommodation with a difference. Our FAQ will assist you plan for your stay in Bendigo with us.

Are linen & towels supplied?
Yes full linen and towels are provided. Fresh linen will also be provided after each 7 day period for longer stays.
Is breakfast supplied?
No, but guests may use the cooking equipment and staple condiments provided. Pop out to the backyard and ask the chooks if there are any freshly laid eggs for you!
How close is the accommodation to town?
200 metres to bus, 1 km to town and train station.
How far is it from public transport?
100 metres to on-road bicycle path, 200 metres to bus and the Bendigo Creek Trail, 1 km to town and train station.
What heating and cooling will my room have?

Stay Social has an innovative, yet simple heat recovery and ventilation system installed and twin central ducted evaporative coolers for the main building including both upper and lower levels. Central ducted heating is provided throughout to all rooms. Each room has its own individually and fully controllable ceiling fan. Shower areas also have heat lamps. A ceiling fan is located in the external entertaining areas.

What staples are available for cooking?
The likes of tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, sauces, oils and general cleaning consumables are provided. Bring your own fresh food and vegies and other ingredients and cook up a storm. You may well find some vegies in the garden ready for you to pick and combine into your meal.
Is a cot and highchair available?
Yes a number of cots and highchairs are available. Please advise your need at the time of booking.
Are pets allowed?

No sorry pets are not allowed. Guide and assistance animals welcome of course.

What are your cleaning expectations?

Stay Social is an accommodation place where you share many of the great facilities with other guests. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep all areas and appliances clean, neat and available for all guests to enjoy. Please immediately do all of your own dishes and pack / unpack the dishwasher as is required. Please collect suitable foodscraps from meal preparation and leftovers and feed to the chooks in the morning.

How do I access my room? Are the bedrooms secure?
Yes. Individual code locks are fitted to each bedroom with a different code provided to each guest for their room. There are also code locks to access the general communal accommodation areas from the outside as well as to the laundry, external entertaining area and the bike shed. Guests will be advised both the communal code and their personal room code with their booking confirmation.
Can you help me get from the airport or train station?

We strongly encourage the use of public transport, walking and cycling. The V-Line train service from Melbourne to Bendigo is fantastic and there is also a direct Shuttle Bus from Melbourne Airport to Bendigo Train Station. From the station it is only 1,100 m to the accommodation. We are also investigating as to how we can offer a free Taxi trip to/from Queen St to the Bendigo Station only.

Can you help me hire a car?
We are supporting and encouraging the introduction of car share schemes into Bendigo and also potentially a Stay Social shared electric car! If this is something you would support for an additional cost please let us know as demand will dictate implementation. Car hire is available in Bendigo
Can I access WIFI and the Internet?
Yes free WIFI and Internet access is provided for guests. A CAT5 cable and a password will be provided with your booking confirmation. Daily download limits apply.
